We’ve got loads of amazing fundraising events planned for the year and are working on even more. Here are some key dates for your diary.
Join us for an evening of musical entertainment in the cosy atmosphere of our lifeboat station. And help to raise vital funds to support RNLI Portishead’s volunteer lifeboat crew.
We’re delighted to welcome Portishead’s very own Rock Choir and our good friends the Barnacle Buoys sea shanty group. There’ll be a fully licensed bar. And the lifeboat and tractor will be on show for you to admire.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Event starts at 7.00pm and finishes at around 9pm. Fully licensed bar. Souvenirs available. Lots of fun for all the family.
No tickets required. Just turn up. Donations encouraged.
To coincide with the RNLI’s national ‘Mayday’ campaign, we’re holding our very own ‘Mayday’ week in Portishead. There’ll be collections, challenges and much more. And if you’d like to do your own fundraising event or challenge to help support our volunteer crew, get in touch for your special fundraising pack.
Come along to the lifeboat station to meet the crew, check out our 8.5 metre rigid inflatable Atlantic class lifeboat ‘My Lady Anne’ and have a good look around.
You’ll have the chance to chat with some of the volunteers who keep the station up and running, as well as enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and (hopefully) a slice of cake. And we’re hoping to present our ‘Beach Buddies’ water safety show, too.

Crew and lifeboat availability subject to operational requirements
We’ll be coming out in force again for the raft race. Come along to meet the lifeboat crew, buy some RNLI souvenirs and learn a bit more about what we do. We’ll have all kinds of activities as well as important information on how you can stay safe when you’re out and about on the coast this summer.
We’re delighted to have been invited back to this year’s Eat:Portishead festival at the marina. We’re putting together some great ideas for the day and look forward to seeing you there.
